Clitoral-vaginal index

A clitoral-vaginal index is a scale rating the intensity of a woman's clitoral orgasm to that of a vaginal orgasm. It was used in Seymour Fisher's book The Female Orgasm to classify women according to their personal orientation for orgasm pleasure. The seven point scale is reproduced below:

  1. Clitoris much more effective than vagina.
  2. Clitoris somewhat more effective than vagina.
  3. Clitoris a little more effective than vagina.
  4. Clitoris equal to vagina.
  5. Vagina a little more effective than clitoris.
  6. Vagina somewhat more effective than clitoris.
  7. Vagina much more effective than clitoris.
